South Park Inn Receives 1000 lbs. of food in honor of Sewa Diwali

Students and leaders from South Windsor HSS were joined by Senator Saud Anwar for a presentation of 1,000 lbs. of non-perishable food to South Park Inn as part of Sewa Diwali, the festival of light. Students said they felt happy knowing the food they collected was reaching shelter guests for Thanksgiving. Following the presentation, the students toured the shelter and learned more about the programs serving homeless men, women and veterans. The group has devoted countless hours to serving and preparing meals for the guests at South Park Inn and contributes financial support as well.
