Ways to Give
Make a Gift
Thank you for considering a gift to South Park Inn! Your support makes important things happen. When you donate to South Park Inn you support our mission to improve our community by providing equal access to shelter and solutions for all people to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.
Your donation will help South Park Inn keep the doors open 24/7/365, provide triage and emergency shelter beds that serve men, women, and LGBTQ+ guests with dignity, provide a safe and supportive environment for Veterans, and provide comprehensive case management services for all guests in the shelter, including rotating care clinics that hit the trifecta of dental, physical, and mental health. Lastly, your gift helps guests to obtain stable and permanent housing, thus breaking the cycle of homelessness.

Make a recurring contribution
Double your donation with a corporate matching gift
Donate stock
By donating appreciated securities, you can often make a bigger impact and receive greater tax advantages than you would by donating cash or by selling the stock and donating the proceeds. You also bypass capital gains tax, and you may deduct the fair market value of your gift.
Make a planned or legacy gift
How do I establish a planned or legacy gift?
There are a variety of vehicles you can use, such as securities, retirement plan assets, real estate, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and gifts of life insurance. You can make a planned gift now or include a bequest in your will and significantly impact the lives of those who are homeless.
Contact the Development Office at 860-724-0071 x325 to discuss your gift planning needs.
The Veterans Fund
South Park Inn receives funding from the VA Federal government to run the specialized Veterans Program. However, the reality is that the funding provided by the government is not enough to cover costs. If you donate to the restricted Veterans Fund, your gift is reserved for that program.
The Pet Support Fund
South Park Inn also has a unique policy – it accepts guests with pets.
Most homeless shelters don't allow pets, leaving people to choose between life-saving shelter or giving up their best friend. Therefore, no person will be turned away from South Park Inn if they have a dog or cat.
SPI is a proud partner of Pets of the Homeless, which lists South Park Inn as a pet-friendly homeless service provider and helps to offset vet bills on a case-by-case basis.
South Park Inn launched a pet fund for the 2023-2023 winter with the hopes of raising $5,000 for pet food, cages, and vet bills. Thank you!
